Whether your occasion is a birthday, wedding, a special occasion or just because you want to have some fun, our wine tasting creates a one-of-kind experience. Many guests have enjoyed the novelty of a Blue Mountains tasting in our purpose-built cellar.
Dantosa’s cellar was designed by a French cellar expert. It's nestled underground in the hill behind Dantosa Cottage. The cellar is triple-brick vaulted with a capacity for 4,000 bottles. It accommodates up to 20 people.
Wine-tastings are conducted by our panel of local experts, experts like Jane Adams or Robert Dalglish.
Jane's wine career began in the UK and France. She has spent over 30 years developing her knowledge of Australian wines. Drawing on her hospitality background and wine qualifications from the globally renowned Wine and Spirit Education Trust, plus her wide-ranging travels of Australia's best wine regions, Jane will be your guide for a deeper appreciation of each wine.
Robert is a favourite of guests. He's lived in the Mountains is whole life and is a lover of fine wines. As a long time wine merchant, he gained is knowledge from managing the local wine artisan outlet, Leura Cellars. Leura Cellars built its reputation on stocking and storing some the best local, Australian and overseas fine wines. Key to selecting the world's best varietals was Robert. He has become a regular tasting host at Dantosa Cellar.
At your wine-tasting, our panel expert will showcase a selection of high quality wines . They maybe local favourites from Orange and Mudgee or, if you prefer, European and North American vineyards. The tasting can include sparkling wines, reds, whites and dessert wines. Cheese and fruit platters will be provided to accompany your wines.
And of course, any leftover wine, cheese and fruit can be taken away for you to enjoy during the remainder of your stay.
The cost of a wine-tasting is $695 for up to 16 guests. Additional guests are $25 per guest.
