Experience the magnificence of the Blue Mountains from the secluded luxury of your home away from home. Dantosa is set on 9 acres of serene parkland with paths, streams and a breathtaking private lake. It comfortably sleeps up to 18 people and offers something for everyone.
Dantosa is ideally located to access one of Australia’s premier destinations – the World Heritage Blue Mountains National Park. Five minutes drive from Echo Point, Katoomba, and minutes from many hiking trails, Dantosa is an ideal base for exploring this stunning landscape.
The property is ideal for family and friend reunions, celebrations, corporate and lifestyle retreats, or a romantic getaway. Our accommodation is totally flexible. Dantosa sleeps from one to 18 guests. More can be added if required. So if you are a few or many, Dantosa offers you luxury accommodation in the heart of Australia’s famous Blue Mountains.
Originally a goat farm, the property has a 30-year-old established Blue Mountains garden and accommodation in two buildings - Dantosa House and the adjacent Dantosa Cottage. You can book either. Or, if you prefer total privacy, you can opt for a Dantosa Exclusive booking.
A Dantosa Exclusive booking gives you and your guests exclusive access to the property. You and your guests are the only guests. It includes both Dantosa House and Dantosa Cottage which is ideal for larger groups, corporate and offsite retreats, events or family and friends wanting an exclusive location for time together. If your group is smaller, you may wish to consider a House or Cottage booking.
Dantosa House has a modern elegance with a gourmet kitchen and spacious terrace overlooking the lake. The large living area includes a Norwegian wood fireplace and the house has central heating. Dantosa House sleeps up to 10 people, in 4 bedrooms. Dantosa Cottage was the original farmhouse and sleeps up to 8 people in 3 bedrooms. It also has views over the gardens and lake.
At Dantosa you will enjoy total privacy. As one guest put it, “you live in a beautiful oasis, and yet you are only minutes away from restaurants, shops and the national park.”
Enjoy a game of tennis, canoeing on the lake, a game of boules or a stroll in the beautiful gardens. After a day’s bushwalking, come back to luxury – arrange for a local chef to cater for your group, take a spa bath, or simply gather around the log fireplace with a glass of wine and your friends. Enjoy the garden’s distinct four seasons: fields of daffodils in the spring, a 80m wall of multi-coloured hydrangeas in the summer, the remarkable autumn colours and the early morning frosts in winter.

By the way, Dantosa's owners have authored a book about homesharing. The Home Stay Guide is a frank, practical and hands-on guide for homeshare or Airbnb hosts who want to build a professional business. This book is a guide for those who are considering or already offering their home or property as a short term rental.
