Dantosa offers a spectacular venue for you to celebrate your event or wedding in total privacy. It is ideally suited for a micro or intimate wedding stay. Or for special occasions like anniversaries, milestone birthdays and corporate launches.
You are welcome to invite suppliers to provide services for your special event.
We have compiled a collection of great local providers to help you curate a wonderful experience. The following local event partners are familiar with Dantosa and have been recommended to us by past guests. Hopefully this selection assists you with your planning.
Included are suggestions for catering, florists, photography and styling, event hire equipment, drinks and even wine tastings. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask us. And if we've missed anything, please reach out. It's likely we'll have some recommendations for you.
The recommended external suppliers are independent businesses. We take pleasure in suggesting these suppliers to you and leave it entirely to you to determine the level of service you require. Also just a request: ahead of your event or wedding, please inform us of all visitors to the property including suppliers. This is important for safety and insurance purposes. Thank you.
CATERING
In-house catering is available for you and your guests at Dantosa. There are various options to choose from.

Misha Laurent's 8Things delivers delicious catering for many of Dantosa guests. His team receives rave reviews from our guests every time. Whether you require a full dinner service or drop off dishes, Misha and his team offer the ultimate in quality cuisine, versatility and flexibility.
Misha is originally from Paris and now calls the Blue Mountains home. He is a true citizen of the world. Our community is so fortunate to have his fabulous cooking available locally. Misha's seasoned career includes providing for five-star guests of international hotel chains like Sheraton as well as running his own restaurants in Europe, Asia, North America and now in the Blue Mountains.
Whatever your cuisine, taste and budget, Misha is able to cater for your requirements. From fine-dining to gourmet burgers, from North African street food to Koran Bao, 8Things can provide. Whether it's an intimate dinner for two, a birthday bash for 12 or a full scale wedding banquet, Misha's experienced team will deliver. At a recent corporate event at Dantosa, 8Things catered for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was easy. The guest set the budget. And 8Things did the rest. The result: c'est fantastique.

Lushious
Lushious can provide full 3-course meals or tapas-style menus for you. Chef Sid has catered at many events held at Dantosa. He offers excellent vegetarian food as well as meat dishes at reasonable prices. His food is a favourite of ours! His costs range from $40-$80 per head, depending on selection and quantities. Sid will prepare your meals, deliver and serve (if required).
Halal prepared food is also available.

Dinner at the Farm
Directly opposite Dantosa is a small farm which also operates as a restaurant specialising in French and Swiss cuisine. The owners are the chefs who operated The Swiss Cottage for 22 years, a famous local restaurant which became an institution in the Blue Mountains. After selling the restaurant and retiring, Monique and Roland decided to return to their love of gardening and cooking.
You can choose to dine at their home, where the food is served from a country-style kitchen; “Dinner at the Farm” is open for the last weekend of every month. Or for groups of 12 or more, it is possible to arrange for The Farm to open for your group or for them to cater at Dantosa.
You can also order picnic lunch hampers from Monique and Roland. Let us know your preference and we will help you to make arrangements.

Red Pepper
Robert at Red Pepper is a well-regarded local chef and has catered at Dantosa many times. He offers a full catering service with international / fusion cuisine. Costs for a 3-course meal, including chef and wait staff are approximately $80-120 per head.

Tenille Evans. Vegan Weddings & Events.
Tenille Evans hails from Lithgow and is one of our favourite providores. Tenille and her team speacialize in vibrant, creative plant-based catering. Her catering service allows guests to align their event and their ethics without compromising on the quality, taste or service. Indeed, her food is absolutely delicious. And its presentation is awesome. Just look at the images!
Tenille has worked in the hospitality and events industry for over 15 years. She's worked in almost every role within this industry. Her passion is creating amazing vegan food that everyone can enjoy. Tenille is head chef and owner of the Secret Creek Cafe, a vegan eatery in Lithgow, NSW. She has personally been vegan (for 8 years and counting!) and vegetarian before that.
A special event such as a birthday, anniversary or wedding is the perfect opportunity to show friends and family how delicious good vegan food can be. Vegan food can be enjoyed by everyone and there is no need to compromise on your values for your special occasion.

Raw & Rustic Catering.
Raw & Rustic is an exciting new catering business owned and operated by Annalyse Fisher. She was a key chef for several years at Red Pepper, and recently left to commence her own business. Annalyse knows Dantosa and its guests' requirements well from her Red Pepper days. Here's Annalyse to tell you more about Raw & Rustic, a new approach to Mountains' catering:
I worked with Redpepper Catering and The Parade Cafe for the past 3 years as their head chef, and got to work alongside a 2 hatted chef at Arrana for 8 months. Food is very much the basis of my life. Having a large Pakistani family, I have grown up to love food with bold flavours and an array of herbs and spices.
Food is happiness to me and is what brings us all together.
If COVID taught me one thing, it's to follow your dreams and do what makes you feel happy. And that’s when my idea of creating my own space and business came to life. Raw & Rustic Catering started by specialising in High Tea styled and catered packages. Using my design degree and my passion for food, I could combine them both to create beautiful spaces where people can be nourished and aesthetically pleased inside the comfort of their own homes.
Since beginning I have realised that there are many more avenues that I can venture down to be able to support my local community. This led me to start Dine in Dinners which are family friendly home cooked meals made with loads of love by me available at affordable prices, Postpartum Packs with frozen meals for new mummas, old mummas, or anyone who needs that support while caring for little ones. This has been one of the most popular requests. I also have picnic boxes, grazing tables and more on offer. And finally, the Micro Wedding Catering Packs are the newest addition to our ever growing offerings.

Wine-tasting. Dantosa Cellar.
Sniff, swirl, sip. A sensory experience to enjoy with your guests.
If you’re interested in a very different experience during your Dantosa stay, you might to consider a wine tasting at Dantosa's very own cellar. Whether your occasion is a birthday, a wedding, a special anniversary, a work-team retreat or a holiday stay, our wine tasting creates a one-of-kind experience which you and your group will fondly remember about your stay. Many guests have enjoyed the novelty of a tasting in the Blue Mountains in a purpose-built cellar.
It is genuine cellar - the only one we know of its kind in the Blue Mountains. Dantosa’s cellar was designed by a French cellar expert and is nestled underground, in a hill on the property behind the cottage. The cellar is triple-brick vaulted with a capacity for 4,000 bottles and can take groups of up to 20 people.
At your wine-tasting, our panel expert will showcase a selection of wines for your group, including sparkling wines, reds, whites and dessert wines. The vigneron will speak about the wine making process for each selection, as well as recount stories of life as a wine-maker. A cheese platter will be provided to accompany the wines.
The cost of a wine-tasting is $695 for up to 16 guests. Additional guests are $25 per guest.

Treatment Locations at Dantosa
You are very welcome to hold the treatments at any spot you prefer. There are five popular locations. These include:
(i) Dantosa House's bedroom 4. If you've hired the House, this provides an ideal setting raised section giving a great view while you doze off under Meg's captivating spell
(ii) an outdoor option is Dantosa House's patio. This area captures te entire view of the lake and surrounds. On a sunny day, it is magnificent and a perfect location for a luxuriating massage. The weather forecast should be taken into account
Treatment Locations at Dantosa cont'd
(iii) bedroom 1 or 3 of Dantosa Cottage. Both bedrooms have adequate space for the massage table. At 130 years old, the Cottage is the original estate's homestead. It's quiet and is well located for pampering treatments away from other guests
(iv) the lakehouse on Dantosa Lake. Due to safety reasons, please beware 240V electrical power is not available at the Lakehouse at this stage. There is a pot belly fire which can be used for warmth, if required
(v) another outdoors option is the Gazebo alongside Dantosa Tennis Court. Subject to the prevailing weather, this spot is magical. It is the crown of the property delivering a commanding view of the lake, Dantosa House and Dantosa Cottage and our magnificent gardens. Full 240V power available at the Gazebo

Bluey's Event Hire.
Provide rental equipment for weddings. Bluey’s is a specialist event hire business. Michael and the team are very familiar with Dantosa and can make recommendations on marquees, tables, chairs, tableware, decorations etc. The team has an extensive inventory of event items. By arrangement with Dantosa, deliveries can be made prior to your arrival. And the same goes for pick ups - Bluey's will collect your hire items after your departure.

Lavish Loos.
Lavish Loos provide luxe portable toilets for outdoor events at Dantosa. If you're considering setting up a marquee, often the preferred location is on the the tennis court or at the croquet lawn. Both locations are up a hill at the Southern end of the property. Facilities are a reasonable distance away. Our strong recommendation is to hire essential infrastructure, such as toilets.

DRINKS & BARS
Cheers. You're Very Welcome.
From time to time, we're asked about whether alcohol can be served at Dantosa, and whether you can supply your own. The short answer is yes and yes.
You and your guests are welcome to serve and consume alcohol at Dantosa. And of course, you are free to bring your own. We just have a couple of riders.
Above all, please be respectful of the property and our very mindful of Dantosa's neighbours. The responsibility of alcohol service and consumption while at Dantosa is the guest who booked the reservation, and the guest's group. Dantosa's ask guests to follow the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements. This means serving and supplying liquor in a responsible manner.
It also means that external caterers or their staff who supply liquor are required to conduct their business in a responsible manner, and may all be held accountable for their actions. We ask that commonsense prevail over all guests and visitors who are on the property, and that at all times neighbours are respected.

When I first went in search for a musician for my small, intimate wedding, I found Karl's profile. I was instantly engaged, reading the many positive reviews and highlights from people's experiences with Karl. After speaking to Karl, I instantly knew I wanted him to be a part of my wedding. He was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. He had many genres of songs to choose from and even learnt a new song at my request, singing this song with me in a duet at my wedding!
Karl is extremely talented and has an amazing voice. He captured and engaged the audience with his charisma and we ended up asking if Karl could stay an extra hour on the night, to which he was very happy to. I would not hesitate to hire Karl again for any future events. He was an amazing musician and a pleasure to deal with!
Live Acoustic Guitar. Alan Plummer.
Alan has been playing guitar professionally since he was 12 years old. Raised in a musical household with a father that had worked with people including Django Reinhardt, Groucho Marx, Julian Bream and Ginger Baker and with a sister who became principal piccolo for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Alan Plummer was the first classical guitar player admitted into the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Despite their best efforts, Alan ended up age 17 sharing a stage with bands including The Saints and Radio Birdman.
As a classical soloist and accompanist Alan has for over 20 years provided both entertainment and ambience at five star hotels across Sydney, performed at the Sydney Opera House (Utzon Room), the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, University of NSW and more. Most recently he has appeared at the Hydro Majestic, the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre, and the Blue Mountains Theatre and Arts Hub.

My Dad had is 80th birthday at Dantosa. Alan was absolutely perfect for the occasion. 60 guests joined my parents to celebrate my Dad's important milestone. Everyone, and I mean everyone, loved Alan's performance. I received so many comments from guests about how lovely it was to have Alan playing his acoustic guitar. Dantosa's large entertainment room was perfect for his repatoire. Guests were seated in the room, enjoying the moments while Alan played throughout.
He is a true professional. His skill and deep musical knowledge gives him an uncanny ability to play the right music at the right time. We didn't give him much direction. Instinctively he just knew the right piece to select for the each and every moment of Dad's special occasion. I highly recommend Alan and would definitely hire him for an encore performance.

Want to Visit? Dantosa Tour.
You are most welcome to take a look at Dantosa, inspect our accommodation, wander the grounds and even pop into our underground cellar. The best time for a Dantosa tour is early afternoons on Fridays and Sundays. Special visits can also be arranged during the week, subject to whether guests are in residence.
Our local manager, Catherine Andrews, will meet you onsite and take you through Dantosa House, Dantosa Cottage and Dantosa Cellar. Feel free to wander from the top to the bottom of the entire property. You can spend as much time as you need to assess Dantosa's suitability for your needs.

Lushious can provide full 3-course meals or tapas-style menus for you. Chef Sid has catered at many events held at Dantosa. He offers excellent vegetarian food as well as meat dishes at reasonable prices. His food is a favourite of ours! His costs range from $40-$80 per head, depending on selection and quantities. Sid will prepare your meals, deliver and serve (if required).
Halal prepared food is also available.

Dinner at the Farm
Directly opposite Dantosa is a small farm which also operates as a restaurant specialising in French and Swiss cuisine. The owners are the chefs who operated The Swiss Cottage for 22 years, a famous local restaurant which became an institution in the Blue Mountains. After selling the restaurant and retiring, Monique and Roland decided to return to their love of gardening and cooking.
You can choose to dine at their home, where the food is served from a country-style kitchen; “Dinner at the Farm” is open for the last weekend of every month. Or for groups of 12 or more, it is possible to arrange for The Farm to open for your group or for them to cater at Dantosa.
You can also order picnic lunch hampers from Monique and Roland. Let us know your preference and we will help you to make arrangements.

Red Pepper
Robert at Red Pepper is a well-regarded local chef and has catered at Dantosa many times. He offers a full catering service with international / fusion cuisine. Costs for a 3-course meal, including chef and wait staff are approximately $80-120 per head.

Tenille Evans. Vegan Weddings & Events.
Tenille Evans hails from Lithgow and is one of our favourite providores. Tenille and her team speacialize in vibrant, creative plant-based catering. Her catering service allows guests to align their event and their ethics without compromising on the quality, taste or service. Indeed, her food is absolutely delicious. And its presentation is awesome. Just look at the images!
Tenille has worked in the hospitality and events industry for over 15 years. She's worked in almost every role within this industry. Her passion is creating amazing vegan food that everyone can enjoy. Tenille is head chef and owner of the Secret Creek Cafe, a vegan eatery in Lithgow, NSW. She has personally been vegan (for 8 years and counting!) and vegetarian before that.

Annalyse knows Dantosa and its guests' requirements well from her Red Pepper days. Here's Annalyse to tell you more about Raw & Rustic, a new approach to Mountains' catering:
I worked with Redpepper Catering and The Parade Cafe for the past 3 years as their head chef, and got to work alongside a 2 hatted chef at Arrana for 8 months. Food is very much the basis of my life. Having a large Pakistani family, I have grown up to love food with bold flavours and an array of herbs and spices.
Food is happiness to me and is what brings us all together.
If COVID taught me one thing, it's to follow your dreams and do what makes you feel happy. And that’s when my idea of creating my own space and business came to life. Raw & Rustic Catering started by specialising in High Tea styled and catered packages. Using my design degree and my passion for food, I could combine them both to create beautiful spaces where people can be nourished and aesthetically pleased inside the comfort of their own homes.
Since beginning I have realised that there are many more avenues that I can venture down to be able to support my local community. This led me to start Dine in Dinners which are family friendly home cooked meals made with loads of love by me available at affordable prices, Postpartum Packs with frozen meals for new mummas, old mummas, or anyone who needs that support while caring for little ones. This has been one of the most popular requests. I also have picnic boxes, grazing tables and more on offer. And finally, the Micro Wedding Catering Packs are the newest addition to our ever growing offerings.

Sniff, swirl, sip. A sensory experience to enjoy with your guests.
If you’re interested in a very different experience during your Dantosa stay, you might to consider a wine tasting at Dantosa's very own cellar. Whether your occasion is a birthday, a wedding, a special anniversary, a work-team retreat or a holiday stay, our wine tasting creates a one-of-kind experience which you and your group will fondly remember about your stay. Many guests have enjoyed the novelty of a tasting in the Blue Mountains in a purpose-built cellar.
It is genuine cellar - the only one we know of its kind in the Blue Mountains. Dantosa’s cellar was designed by a French cellar expert and is nestled underground, in a hill on the property behind the cottage. The cellar is triple-brick vaulted with a capacity for 4,000 bottles and can take groups of up to 20 people.
At your wine-tasting, our panel expert will showcase a selection of wines for your group, including sparkling wines, reds, whites and dessert wines. The vigneron will speak about the wine making process for each selection, as well as recount stories of life as a wine-maker. A cheese platter will be provided to accompany the wines.
The cost of a wine-tasting is $695 for up to 16 guests. Additional guests are $25 per guest.

Treatment Locations at Dantosa
You are very welcome to hold the treatments at any spot you prefer. There are five popular locations. These include:
(i) Dantosa House's bedroom 4. If you've hired the House, this provides an ideal setting raised section giving a great view while you doze off under Meg's captivating spell
(ii) an outdoor option is Dantosa House's patio. This area captures te entire view of the lake and surrounds. On a sunny day, it is magnificent and a perfect location for a luxuriating massage. The weather forecast should be taken into account
Treatment Locations at Dantosa cont'd
(iii) bedroom 1 or 3 of Dantosa Cottage. Both bedrooms have adequate space for the massage table. At 130 years old, the Cottage is the original estate's homestead. It's quiet and is well located for pampering treatments away from other guests
(iv) the lakehouse on Dantosa Lake. Due to safety reasons, please beware 240V electrical power is not available at the Lakehouse at this stage. There is a pot belly fire which can be used for warmth, if required
(v) another outdoors option is the Gazebo alongside Dantosa Tennis Court. Subject to the prevailing weather, this spot is magical. It is the crown of the property delivering a commanding view of the lake, Dantosa House and Dantosa Cottage and our magnificent gardens. Full 240V power available at the Gazebo

Bluey's Event Hire.
Provide rental equipment for weddings. Bluey’s is a specialist event hire business. Michael and the team are very familiar with Dantosa and can make recommendations on marquees, tables, chairs, tableware, decorations etc. The team has an extensive inventory of event items. By arrangement with Dantosa, deliveries can be made prior to your arrival. And the same goes for pick ups - Bluey's will collect your hire items after your departure.

Lavish Loos.
Lavish Loos provide luxe portable toilets for outdoor events at Dantosa. If you're considering setting up a marquee, often the preferred location is on the the tennis court or at the croquet lawn. Both locations are up a hill at the Southern end of the property. Facilities are a reasonable distance away. Our strong recommendation is to hire essential infrastructure, such as toilets.

DRINKS & BARS

From time to time, we're asked about whether alcohol can be served at Dantosa, and whether you can supply your own. The short answer is yes and yes.
You and your guests are welcome to serve and consume alcohol at Dantosa. And of course, you are free to bring your own. We just have a couple of riders.
Above all, please be respectful of the property and our very mindful of Dantosa's neighbours. The responsibility of alcohol service and consumption while at Dantosa is the guest who booked the reservation, and the guest's group. Dantosa's ask guests to follow the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements. This means serving and supplying liquor in a responsible manner.
It also means that external caterers or their staff who supply liquor are required to conduct their business in a responsible manner, and may all be held accountable for their actions. We ask that commonsense prevail over all guests and visitors who are on the property, and that at all times neighbours are respected.
